FAQs

  • I ask that clients provide at least 24 hours notice if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made without adequate notice may be subject to a $60 late cancellation fee charged to the card on file. If you are running late, please let me know; there is a 15-minute grace period with notice. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late will be considered a missed session and may also incur a $60 fee.

  • Wild Minds Counseling currently offers services exclusively via telehealth. To receive virtual services in New Jersey or New York, clients must provide an address confirming residency in the state at the time of services. All telehealth sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

  • At this time, Wild Minds Counseling is in network with Cigna, Aetna, Anthem BCBS (NY), Horizon BCBS (NJ) and Quest Behavioral Health (NJ). We use Headway to manage insurance billing. Clients using insurance are required to keep an active credit card on file with Headway. Co-pays, as well as fees for missed or late-canceled appointments, will be charged on the day of the session. You will complete all required billing and insurance forms after receiving a welcome email from Headway.

If we are not in network with your insurance plan, sessions may be paid for out of pocket. Upon request, you may receive a superbill to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, depending on your individual benefits. If you choose this option, please review the information below regarding your right to a Good Faith Estimate.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of your care. Federal law requires health care providers to provide this estimate to clients who do not have insurance or who choose not to use insurance. The Good Faith Estimate reflects the anticipated total cost of non-emergency services and may include related expenses such as medical tests, prescriptions, equipment, or facility fees. Your provider will give you a written Good Faith Estimate at least one business day before your scheduled service. You may also request a Good Faith Estimate at any time prior to scheduling an appointment.
